Some bad eating habits start collapsing the lungs from inside and it is known when the lung cancer is at its last or worst stage. Pay attention to these five ways to save you from lung cancer and start living healthy life.

As in lung cancer, dangerous cells are start forming in the cells of the lungs and make lungs weaker day by day. Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) and Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) are the two main types of lung cancer. So let’s know about by which way we can reduce the risk of lung cancer:

Avoid Tobacco Use

Tobacco use is the leading cause of lung cancer, about 90% of the total lung cancer cases are tobacco users. Cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookahs, electronic cigarettes and eating tobacco are dangerous for the lungs. The risk of lung cancer is about 20 times higher in smokers than in non-smokers. So the best way to prevent lung cancer or reduce the risk of lung cancer is to stop smoking immediately.

Second Hand Smoking Also Gives Cancer

Those who live with smokers are at exposure of second-hand smoke and the risk of lung cancer is equal to them. There are many toxic chemicals like cigarettes, which damage the cells of the lungs and can increase the risk of cancer. Stop people living with you from smoking or stay away from them.

Avoid Radiation And Chemicals

Radiation exposure, especially radon, is a major risk factor worldwide. Try to avoid this. Also avoid prolonged exposure to harmful chemicals like asbestos, coal, silica, beryllium, arsenic, nickel etc.

Time to time lung cancer screening and check-ups can help you to know lung cancer early. Knowing lung cancer at early stage will help you get proper and successful treatment.

Healthy Diet And Exercise Is Necessary

Healthy life style not only prevent you from lung cancer, it make your whole body fit and you live long healthy life. Include a variety of fruits and vegetables and whole grains in your diet. They are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Avoid taking large doses of supplements, as they can be harmful. Apart from this, exercising daily helps in reducing the risk of lung cancer and other types disease.
