It is vital to keep yourself emotionally strong during the entire lung cancer treatment process and even after that. Self management and taking care of yourself becomes very important after your treatment. Here, we discuss some of the useful tips about self care:

It is normal for anyone to feel a wide range of emotions during and after lung cancer diagnosis. It is important to ensure yourself that everything will be normal. You need to work through difficult emotions and stay positive. Exercise can also play an important role in rejuvenating yourself. You can start with small sessions and can continue as far as your body allows to.

Another important change that happens in your journey is the diet. Eating balanced diet and getting enough sleep are another important tool to help you stay healthy. You should yourself take charge of your health. This will help you to cope up with the changes and issues that you experience during lung cancer treatment.

It is also important that you stay up to date on regular and scheduled checkups. You should also recognize symptoms that may need investigation prior to your appointment.

Some common issues that are faced by lung cancer patients include fear of cancer coming back, fatigue and tiredness, anxiety and depression, issues with memory, pain etc. Self-management and taking an active role in looking after your health can help you in managing the challenges effectively.
