7 Warning Signs of Lung Cancer among WomenLung cancer is one of the most deadly types of cancer in both men and women. But, as far as the symptoms are concerned, they differ in both genders. Here, we list signs of lung cancer that every woman should know.

  1. Shortness of Breath

This is one of the common signs that most lung cancer patients face. Their inability to catch their breath especially during exercising is a warning sign. Women, who face any breathing difficulties, should contact their doctor. Though breathing issues are generally thought to be related to asthma or respiratory diseases but this is also a symptom of lung cancer.

  1. Chronic Cough

If you are facing persistent cough that just does not go away, it is the time to go to the doctor. Although coughing is the natural reaction to an irritation in the respiratory system, but coughing constantly is an early warning sign of lung cancer.

  1. Pain

Pain in chest, shoulder and back is also associated with lung cancer. In women, sharp aches or pain around the shoulder blades can indicate a sign of cancer.

  1. Swallowing Problems

One of the most commonly symptoms associated with lung cancer is the difficulty in swallowing. When one is constantly having trouble in choking down food or even water, you need to consider the reason for swelling of throat.

  1. Hoarseness

In addition to swallowing problems, one may experience hoarse voice. Sudden hoarseness is considered as a symptom of lung cancer.

  1. Frequent Fevers

Doctors often diagnose lung cancer among women who have been a number of times complaining of fever or other infections like achiness etc.

  1. Loss of Appetite

Some women also experience loss of appetite or an unexplained weight loss. This is also considered as common warning signs of lung cancer.

It is important to look for any unusual changes in your body in order to detect early signs of lung cancer in women.
