One of the most useful ways to help prevent lung cancer is to quit smoking or using tobacco. Tobacco is the worst carcinogen source that rises the risk. In addition to quitting smoking, the exposure to second-hand smoke is also important to avoid. You should keep a safe distance from anyone who’s smoking to keep your lungs healthy. You should also try to limit your exposure to areas with high levels of air pollution.

Eat a Healthy and Balanced Diet

Another useful tip is to eat healthy diet which is high in fruits and vegetables. By including antioxidants in your routine such as vitamin C, vitamin E and beta-carotene is beneficial. Taking preventive measures help you to lead a healthy life.

Regular Health Checkups and Early Detection

Prevention is always better than cure. You should take regular tests and keep a check on your health statistics. The early  is detected; the more are the chances for its recovery.

Know Your Family History and Stay Motivated

In the journey towards fighting against lung cancer, it is very essential to keep yourself motivated and the zeal to live. You should be aware of your family’s medical history as both genetic and environmental factors play a key role in its development.

Don’t Ignore Early Symptoms

Last but not the least, an important tip to prevent lung cancer is to not ignore its early signs. The symptoms like cough and hoarse voice are often linked to small health issues but if they keep returning or stay for too long, it is essential to get yourself diagnosed without any delay.
