Adenocarcinoma is a type of cancer that forms in the glands of body that secrete mucus and it can happen in many different organs including lung, breast, colon etc. Adenocarcinoma is the most common form of lung cancer and accounts for about 40% of all lung cancer cases. It is a type of non-small cell lung cancer and usually begins in the outer edges of the lungs and the lining of the bronchi. Depending on the stage, it can be a serious illness.
